Durham, NC — Framework President/COO Aleksandra Dobkowski-Joy gave a TED Talk-style presentation at the sixth annual Duke Alumni Women’s Weekend, a 3-day event inviting more than 600 women alumni back to the Duke campus. Participants spoke about putting their passions into practice with ideas that change the world around us.
Presenting on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Aleksandra described how Framework uses them as a structure for engaging multi-national corporate clients in pursuing an accelerated change agenda. She highlighted work with Symantec and PRA Health Sciences, two Framework clients who have committed to supporting specific SDGs that are most relevant to their business and stakeholders.
“Any organization – public, private, NGO, academic, or otherwise – can contribute to achieving the SDGs,” she said. Speaking to an audience of more than 40 Duke Women alumni across different sectors, professions, and industries, she emphasized that attendees can bring SDG knowledge back to their organizations and spread awareness for global cooperation.
