Heinz Publishes Its 2011 CSR Report

Heinz’ 2011 CSR Report, which is based on GRI G3 guidelines, reveals the company is on track to surpass its targets for reductions of solid waste, water usage, GHG emissions and energy consumption by 2015.

The report also discusses Heinz’ latest initiatives, including:

  • Partnering with the Coca-Cola Company to offer fully recyclable ketchup bottles with up to 30% plant-based content based on Coke’s PlantBottle technology.
  • An expansion of Heinz’ Micronutrient Campaign, which helps iron-deficient children in developing countries.
  • Outreach to Heinz’ global network of tomato farmers to help increase crop yields while reducing water intensity and the use of pesticides.
