The NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) has released its FY2013 Global Citizenship Report (GCR) detailing the company’s continued commitment to responsible management, sustainable business operations, and positive social impact.
This year’s GCR is aligned with the key stages of NVIDIA’s product life cycle, providing readers with insight into the impacts and issues associated with the design, manufacturing, delivery, and usage of NVIDIA GPUs.
Some of NVIDIA’s key efforts and achievements reported for FY13 include:
- First-time assurance for its global greenhouse gas emissions
- Expansion of its Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) leadership committee to include the participation of six executives representing legal, operations, human resources, information technology and engineering departments
- Adoption of a conflict minerals statement and continued discourse with suppliers to help ensure the absence of conflict minerals in the supply chain
- Increased engagement with the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) through representation on its board of directors
NVIDIA has also received external recognition for its continued commitment to sustainability, having been ranked No. 6 in the 2012 Newsweek Green Rankings, and having received the Business Environmental Award from Silicon Valley non-profit Acterra.
